Gospel Plan of Salvation
The simple plan of salvation
For some reason, most people in the Christian world do not realize the plain and straightforward truth which put one into the body of Christ in the first century, will do exactly the same today. Nothing has changed. Since God’s word hasn’t changed, the formula for being added to our Lord’s body remains the same. The gospel plan of salvation is extremely simple. So simple in fact many denominations have complicated it by their teaching. There are no elaborate ceremonies, formulated prayers or highly symbolic rituals when God’s word is followed. Every person from day one that has been added to the body of Christ followed the same teaching that follows:
Therefore you must: Hear and believe God’s word~>, Rom 10:17, “Belief comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God”; and repent ~> of your sin, II Cor 7:9-10, “Godly sorrow worketh repentance unto salvation.” Confess~> his name, Matt 10:32, “He that confesseth me before men, him also will I confess before my Father who is in heaven.” And be buried in the waters of baptism~> acts 2:38,“Repent and be baptized for the remission of sins. And live a faithful life until death, ~> as Rev 2:10b tells us; then you will have a home in heaven for all eternity.
Really, is there anything difficult or complicated about that?
